Colon Hydrotherapy

Known as Colon hydrotherapy, Colon irrigation or a Colonic, it is a safe and effective way to remove toxins and waste from the colon without the use of laxatives, drugs or supplements.  It consists of a gentle flow of warm water used to cleanse the colon of gas, toxins, fecal matter, mucous or undigested food throughout the whole session.

       Poo Trivia
  • One colonic may be the equivalent of 20 – 30 bowel movements.
  • Floaters vs Sinkers –Science fact: solids are denser than liquids which are denser than gasses. Now, apply that science to your poop. Excess gas in poop is what makes it float. Excess gas comes around when dietary changes causes bacteria living in the intestine to produce more.
  • The average person may be carrying 10 – 25lbs of dried fecal matter in their colon.

  • Studies suggest that the more time you spend in the bathroom, specifically reading, the more likely you are to develop hemorrhoids, or swollen blood vessels in and around the anus.  The longer you stay in the bathroom trying to go, the more pressure and stress you put down there. Sitting for too long on the toilet can also restrict blood flow around the anal area, which can make hemorrhoids worse.
  • Shape Matters –Look before you flush; the perfect stool is log-like and S-shaped, not broken up into pieces. Part of getting that log-style shape, compared to poo that comes out more pebbly-looking, comes from eating fiber, which lends bulk to stool and acts as a glue to keep the stool stuck together as it exits your body.
  • A healthy colon should be eliminating waste every 18 hours or 1 – 2 times per day.
  • Bird poop is white because birds can't pee.
  • Terrible-smelling poops are a signature side effect of one stomach bug caused by the parasite giardia, ingested most often by swimming in fresh water lakes. It could also suggest a more serious digestive condition such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or celiac disease.
